Consume protein based food only. You will get enough energy for the day instead relying on carbs for energy food. It also helps if you have anemia. Not forgetting all your vegetables and fruits for the vitamins & minerals.

No food will ever do anything close to a good one hour work out! Ive have changed my eating habits for about three months now and have lost twenty pounds. I ride a bike one hour every day. Exercise is the best thing for the body even if you are not changing you eating habits, its benefits will far reach into your future health more than you will ever imagine. Even when I was fat, I always exercised. I'm pretty healthy at 43, thankfully.

Eating several small fist size meals/snacks apparently keeps your metabolism going at a steady rate. Exercise is the best way to raise metabolism.

Chili is supposed to help increase your metabolism, but as above the only real and effective long term solution is to exercise regularly.

*Almonds
*Grilled chicken/fish with no skin
*Fruit
*Vegies (boiled or steamed) choose non gassy vegies eg. no leak, cabbage etc as this sort of vegetable can cause you to bloat
*Scrambled egg whites, you can either remove the yolk yourself or you can buy egg whites (carton) from the frozen section in your local grocery store.
*Raisens
*Green or Chai Tea
*Avoid red meat...

There are a lot of good foods to boost your metabolism, ask your nearest health food professional for a list.

Good Luck!
