What time of day is it best to travel on the M25 without hitting too much traffic.

I live within earshot the M25 J9, and the quietest time in terms of noise is definitely 1am - 5am. Driving back from playing gigs late night, this time period is pretty quiet too. The quietest time in terms of stress-free driving is 6am - 8am, if you get onto the motorway at 6 you should have a clear run until 8, aim to leave the M25 by 8am and you should be fine.

Any time after about 10pm and before (at a guess) about 6am. Midnight is defnintely ok from experience.

No time of the day, just time of the night, middle of it in fact, but there is still a number of lorries then, because it is quieter
