the prophet - pbuh had said , "when a man mariies he completes half of his faith, the rest half of it is by serving Allah."

as far as witness in a given situation is concerned, in this case Allah is referring to a crime scene. a woman being compassionate and sensitive at heart may give false witness.

it is the same with men too , remember?
An-Nisa | 176 verses | The Women سورة النساء
Sura #4 | Madina
15 As for those of your women who are guilty of lewdness, call to witness four of you against them. And if they testify (to the truth of the allegation) then confine them to the houses until death take them or (until) Allah appoint for them a way (through new legislation).

it is important that u remember that the verse from God regarding hazrath Ayesha-r.a, when she was bad mouthed, now that is a witness from Allah that woman is held in high regards and that a woman has been given equal rights to that of a man..

Dear Omar,

I think you know that witness of a women is half in crimes because woman is sensitive and emotional and could be inflected with the guilty person ,

But telling Hadith is something else , especially from a women who is the wife of the great prophet Mohammed , big Friends of Mohammed (PUBH) was referring to the Mothers of Believers in some issues that they have confusion or different in opinions.
also, they was taught by them in most cases .

In Islam , the women is not half the man , they have the same responsibilities and duties , but there are some special cases that dealt with them because of the difference in the biological body and emotions, but there was great women's in Islam that big (sahabeh) learned and respect them .

I hope the issue is clear my brother .

ayesha was a very clever intelectual and witty young girl she was highly educated and highky respected she was considerd to be the most loved wife by the prophet muhammed (saw). She was the most pure and clean girl no women can compare to her!

as for the witness thing that only applies in crime courts cause the woman is said to be more emotianal than men so she may break down in court and things like that so its only cause there emotinal

Salam,

Saying that"woman witness is half that of a man" is a false over all statement. You generalized the situation of one case, the case of a very specific loan transaction in a specific time, in a very special condition. And its only in that situation when you can't find two male witnesses you can get two women instead of that one men. and the total will be 3, 1 men and two women.

So, you can see from the verse, that no where there that it says that the women witness in general is half of a man.

Furthermore, If you went to the books of Scholars of islam you will not find that statement you said general. On that, Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal said:"The witness of a man is worth witness of two women in men specialities. And the witness of a women is worth two of men in women specialities"

Its very crucial to all of us Muslims to seek knowlage all the time, as its by knowlage alone we can clear all doubts we have, since that our religon is one that is based not only on belief, but knowlage in parallel. Not only that, we have to show the world what islam really is, not that shown by extremists in response to aggression of the occupires and the new imperialists.

May Allah grand us the knowlage that leads to him.

Aysha was the wife of Mohammad PBUH. she stayed with him for long time. also she is considered as the most beloved wife of Muhammad PBUH. The Prophet found Ayesha at a very high level of spiritual attainment and intellectual understanding of Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) and the knowledge of Islam. she was scholar of Quran. she was the best possible person muslims got to understand the true meaning of hadiths(what Prophet said and what he meant). coz Prophet himself trusted her alot. and if i m not wrong then Mohammad by himself mentioned this thing in his life that muslims can get guidence from Aysha after his death.

Bearing witness in that case is related to crimes... not relating Hadith. Also, no one knows a man better then his wife.
