Mughal Paintings are full of details, but it is not done by pen. It was initial done with brushes made of squirell hair or some fine fiber, the brush consisted of only one or two hairs. But if you are doing it in the modern days you will have to find brushes sized 00, 000 or much smaller. They will have very fine bristles. You cannot use oil paint or Acrylic Paint for these. It has to be dilute paints which are thin and easy to use. So probably water colours or poster paints are best. But if you use pens.... you will definelty lose its beauty. And as you must be knowing. mughal paintings are usually not so big in size. Detailing is the key.

I use loads of colours for revision. I'll just say orange, pink, green, blue and purple. Use a thin felt tip.
