I am disgusted that there is so much anti-jewish anti-israel feelings here on yahoo answers, I am shocked, I thought we learned our lesson from world war 2, what's next, will all these racist pigs want to put the jews on trains and gas them again??? One can have an opinion which does not give complete and unqualified support for Israel, that is simply based on recent events, such as the killing of hundreds of civilians in Lebanon, many of whom are Christians.

Depending on how you choose to interpret the Bible, Israel has already served much, if not all of its' God ordained purpose. God doesn't owe them anything, either.

Present day Israel has the same rights and should be treated exactly the same as any other country. No better. No worse.

There are posters here from all over the world. People in some countries only hear what their government controlled news tells them. People whose language is Arabic only hear what is on Al Jazeera and AlArabia. There is never any anti-Arab news or commentary, because the host countries would pull the plug. The far left is overtly anti-semitic, as is a segment of the far right. The normal people agree with you. A lot of us non-normal people do too.

This is a very controversial issue. It really is about life and death. I think that when you see the negative comments it really is the manifestation of fear. I think people are subconsciously beginning to believe that a nuclear holocaust may occur in the Middle East. The fear of a war that becomes WW3 causes people to take sides and believe the rhetoric of their choice. The idea of a nuclear war is so frightening to most people that they would register it on a very deep level and would not want to deal with it directly. It then resides as underlying emotions. The emotions of fear and anger. I think this is what you are seeing. Let us all pray for peace.

3. No, it isn't wrong for them to defend themselves. I for one wish them well. They have every right to do as they wish. Thats what being a sovreign country is all about.

4. This is an open forum. People have the right to their views just as you do. If you have a problem dealing with people whose thoughts and ideas don't agree with yours, at least try to remember that you are giving opinions and thoughts that others here don't always agree with as well.

I found anti-Jewish feelings more among whites and blacks. Not so much in Hispanics or Asians.
