Im 28, M, married 4 years, ditched the tv when we got married. I hate all sport, as i belive its a vast waste of resources, and land.

You shouldnt control individual programms, its petty, and will lead to arguements.

You could have maybe let him listen to the game on the radio

We listen to alot of radio, and do 'other' things at the same time

www.bbc.co.uk/radio
launch the player, goto the comedy section, see hours and hours of comedy

then ditch your tv, and spend the license fee down at La Senza

Eg, dont sit glued to the tv, have a laugh, and get spanked...

We 'need' to watch football on TV as much as you women 'need' to watch soaps. It is the EXACTLY the same.

We only get the odd game now and again on terrestrial TV but you women kick up such a fuss when it's on. You watch 3+ hours EVERYDAY of soaps and yet men don't complain that 3 hours EVERYDAY is too much. But yet when there's a bit of football on TV you say, "...why do they always show the football when Corry is on??"

I'm up for banning football on TV if we ban all those stupid make believe soaps. Somehow you I reckon you women couldn't live without your soaps and it's EXACTLY the same for men, we can't live without our football.

Whatever happened to compromise in your household??

Sundays there is nothing else on my tv. Let him watch football and you go and do something for yourself. I decided to start watching football with my hubby last year. He was in a fantasy football league with coworkers and we made it a hobby to do together. Its better than fighting.

Hold on here!!!! Who says ALL Men need to watch football!!! lol. Firstly, what was he watching - oops bad question. Maybe you're not interested in that. I mean if it was highlights then yes, you were right, Red Card to him!! lol. If it was a live match & even more, his fav. team you earned yourself a Red Card. oops!!! I escaped from work on Mon night to see my beloved Forest play with my Cousin who is in Cyprus too even though I prefer basketball to football which explains the above slightly.

Okay I am feeling you on that one .. My husband is a soldier so I hardly ever get to see him as it is. But when the game is on, he might as well be deployed. Thankfully I have a advantage we are stationed in Germany @ this time and when games are I am already asleep!

because we cant always ge tto the game. So watching it on TV is the best alternative, although if there is no TV then the radio is always good
