They may be trying to reaffirm their non-faith to themselves? :) Or perhaps some are searching for the truth? I guess we'll have to let them answer for themselves on this one as I can't say for sure....

In the past it's been the other way around. In the past, there have also been a lot more 'questions' that were largely rants to start arguments :P
But why not? If people have questions, they should ask them. If people know answers (or, since this is religious, have an opinion, or something to contribute), they should chime in. What does the faith of the asker matter?
If the askers are predominantly atheistic or agnostic, it could just mean that there are more of them hanging out here, or that they just have more questions. As an agnostic myself, I'm always interested to hear what people have to say on these matters.
EDIT
Great video from imrational (above), you should check it out.

Simple human curiousity. I am an atheist, but love speaking with those who believe on yahoo. My brother, whom i call flanders (ned flanders, simpsons in case you don't know) consistently irritates me, and my wife, who is hindu about religion. My wife and I have never had to worry about our state of religious, or non religious beliefs, yet my brother finds it odd that someone is not chrisitan. So, i like to hear the mindset of those who are truly blinded by their faith to see how the world really is, so i can maybe understand what kind of mind controlling potion you all seem to drink, and if every religion uses the same formula.

Why? Well Christians have other sources for finding out about GOD such as Himself, the Bible, their church and church friends etc.
As for myself, I prefer to go where I know I am most likely to receive an answer not to a place where I'm least likely to receive an answer.
Would you ask a chef how to fix your car?

Very good question.
Probably bcs they don't like the pope telling them what to do and don't understand y some other people can pray 5 times a day or fight for religious ideals.
Curious that instead of geting on with their own life they feel the need to fight it back.

Maybe Atheists are better at questioning their own beliefs. The more you question them and search out truth and answers, the stronger your faith in your beliefs will be.
I believe that about anyone who seriously questions what they believe. Nothing but respect for those who constantly seek the truth in their spiritual path

I look to better understand my beliefs and the beliefs of others, so as to either be stronger in my atheism and firmer in my spiritual convictions, or find the faith that really fits me.
