I am truly disturbed by the number of poor people who are crossing our borders to make a living so their families can have food and clothing; however, as an American I can tell you that I am against illegal entry. If they wish to work here, OK, but with the proper papers of admission. I would remove all illegals within a reasonable time period and send them home. They can reenter legally. Out immigration laws have been broken by foreigners and we must do something about it. I am the product of legal immigrants who waited for 3 years to get permission to come to America. When they got here they studdied English and passed their citizenship exam in about 6-8 months. They spoke no English when they got here. In three years their English was quite acceptable and they both worked in New York City for minimum wage. They made a go of it. They weren't rich when they passed away but they had a nice apartment, a nice car, good clothes and money in the bank. How many Mexicans can (or want) do this?

I was told yesterday that there are an estimated 2 million illegal immigrants in Chicago alone... do you think that by passing legislation they are going to be able to deport all of them? Do you know how much this would cost? It would bankrupt the coffers of the US! Trying to deport all the illegals is impractical, and would actually not do much as they would just sneak across the border again anyway. That and they are doing a very large share of the American economy's jobs - take them away and less of everything gets sold - it would cause a massive recession. Its not worth it.

Please, we do not have to deport. All we have to do is enforce our laws. Bust the businesses that hire illegals. No more social services for the illegals. No work and no benefits equals no reason for the illegals to be here. they have no choice but to go home. There ya go El Indio.

Illegals won't ever be kicked out. There aren't enough planes, trains and buses. And American agriculture would come to a halt, the USA couldn't export any more subsidized crops (corn, sugar, cotton, tobacco ...) to Mexico to put Mexican farmers out of business -- and there would be jobs in Mexico and no more illegals!

mass deportation will never happen. i'm native born and so is my family. this country will fall if all illegal immigrants were to be forced to leave. who would do all of the work that us lazy Americans refuse to do for ourselves? we're victims of our own success. that's why corporations are outsourcing - we want too much to do very little.

SEND THEM TO DE RAK HOME FOR PROCESSING. AGREE WITH ANDY AND FEISTY. THE BEGGING FOR THEM TO COME BACK WOULD COST THE U.S.A SO MUCH MORE THAN KEEPING THEM HERE.
