Sit ups and crunches. They strengthen your abdominal muscles, which work together with your back muscles. Many people get relief from back pain/problems by getting their abs into better shape (not a 6-pack, just a few sit ups a day)

an easy exercise for making your back stronger and
more defined is the good morning exercise.
you put a light barbell on your back across your shoulders
like a squat. then sit on a bench or chair. then,
lower your upper body to your knees so your face is
pointed tword the floor, then raise back up to a seated
position slowly, do 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps with light weight.
there is always rows. and cable rows. and t bar rows
and the greatest workout of all for your back is pull ups.
combine the good morning exercise with any of the others
listed above. hope that helps.

2. Lie down, facing down, put your arms at your side, and try to push yourself upward, lift your shoulder and legs and hold for 10 seconds.
