Curcumin is also known Turmeric is a spice commonly used in curries and other south Asian cooking. It is a significant ingredient in most commercial curry powders. Turmeric is also used to give a yellow color in foods.

I followed the Wikipedia link above. Thought it was another name for coriander seed but it turns out to be an ingredient in turmeric. Thanks for the info.
