my 2 brothers want me to move to northern cali to get away from where i used to live and the uncomfortable situation i was put through, but i want to move near the city i used to live in. my boyfriend lives in the area i used to, near my mother and little brother. is it selfish of me to go back even though my older brothers think it is best i leave?

If you stay you will only continue to question what is right. If you move back you will know if you made a mistake or not. My suggestion to you would be to visit your Mom or boyfriend for a couple weeks or however much time you might have. If you feel happier there, go back, tell your brothers and move. If your stay makes you feel as though youve made a bad decision, come home. Explain to your brothers first that you cant help but wonder if you would be happier there, and you are glad they are looking out for your best interest. If they would do you a favor and welcome you back if it doesnt work out.

Your brothers are looking out for you, and they think it is best that you get out of the "uncomfortable situation". Sometimes it is better to try something new, than just stay somewhere that you know. Keep an open mind, and choose what is best for you and what will make you happy.

you follow your heart as what they say always but it doesnt hurt to consider other peoples advice sometimes especially your brothers.
why dont you list down the pros and cons for each possible choice you are to make. I think you are not being selfish in there coz as far as you are concerned, its your life you are dealing with.
if you really want to stay, prove to your brothers that you can take care of yourself and you really want to stay and tell them your reasons. on the other hand, if they insist, dont be mad at them coz they just care about you.

It is far better to be true to yourself if you are not happy there is no one to blaime but yourself. just use your common sence. good luck
