Reasons yes or no? Asking people of all faiths or no faith at all--hypothetically, do you think that penalty would be fair/just? Touch, taboo, or touche? Truth = in this context, who God really is and what God has really said and done as revealed by God.

"God" allows people to do whatever they want at all times. Some people are even deceived by the "truth", don't know it - and ask fallacious questions based on it.

It's free will, but that doesn't mean there's no cost.

There are some people who are turned over to a reprobate mind. I am sure you know of people who are doing drugs or drinking or committing sexual sins, etc who cannot be talked to about God. Their heart is hardened or the drugs have such a hold on them, they may never be reached. God quits calling them after a while, not that He wants to, but He is polite, and removes Himself from the sinfulness.

Actually if you read the Bible, God and Jesus both try to decieve people. Why? So they will not be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

In the Old Testament, God decieves people, or has his minions do the dirty work for him. In the New Testament, Jesus tells his disciples that he talks in parables so only people with strong faith (read "the gullible") will search for a higher wisdom in his tall tales. Jesus lied about prayer and made up laws when he didn't actually know what they were.

If you want to talk about rejecting the truth about God, visit a church on a sunday morning. Lets assume that God really exists as portrayed in the Bible. Lets further assume that the whore mother, sorry, I meant "virgin" mother of Jesus actually gave birth to the son of Jehovah. The book is accurate in it's totality.

That means that God is actually an evil diety about 50% of the time. God himself states he is evil in the Bible, and that he creates evil. He kills innocents, and makes life miserable for people when he chooses to for no apparent reason.

Oddly, they never mention these about God things in most churches...

God loves Jews. Everyone else is fodder for his armies if you read the O.T. In the N.T., Jesus has the same attitudes as his sky-daddy. He plainly states he is there for the Jews, and calls gentiles derogatory names. (A gentile is a non-Jew...)

It was the disciples who made up all the crap about Jesus loves everyone, and God is a warm fuzzy god of peace. This deception was clearly allowed by God/Jesus as it has not been corrected in almost 2000 years. If God/Jesus really had a problem with the lies churches tell to their congregations, I'm pretty sure that he/they/it would have found a way to provide the church with guidance.

Which brings us to a whole other issue about the deceptions of God and the church. If modern ideals about God are correct (remember, we are pretending God is real still) then the Bible is lying about the nature of God, the church is founded on lies, and for some 6000 years, as per biblical timelines, God has allowed these lies to lead people astray.

So the short answer is "Yes, not only does God allow people to be decieved about his nature, he encourages it!

People are deceived by lies because they are a gullible creature, for the most part. Some people are naive and some are very smart. People who are very smart but have no ethics lie to those who are not as smart but are naive. Thus, they are deceived.

It has nothing to do with god.

..."deceived by lies"...."as penalty"...I don't think you are talking about God, if you put His name in context with those words.
I believe that you are vulnerable to deceit by the opposite power when you are not in touch with God, because you don't have a relationship with Him. With God in your heart you are safe, because He is the most powerful.

God wouldn't let anybody be deceived......at some point you are going to know the truth and it's up to you whether you believe it or not....so in other words YOU let yourself be deceived.

First you need to know that your perception of truth is not everyone elses. I dont use any god to blame for being deceived by anyone.

YOUR being deceived is God's fault?

God, himself, told you how to NOT be deceived.

Did you not understand His intructions?
