2 incredible hotels. 1 more hotel. They r all connected, if u stay in the cheaper one u can use the facilities of the other 2. ( at least that's what we used to do 7-10 yrs. ago.) Bill Gates Rented every hotel room on the island & every helicopter on Maui so no one could bother him when he got married there. I was living on Maui & saw his Yacht. We used to take day trips w/ Club Lanai there from Maui, you can do that also. Great beaches for snorkeling, rent a jeep for exploring or just cruise by the pool. One hotel is on the beach & one is up in the mountains @ 2000 ft. where Lanai City is where most people live. Fishing, Scuba, I used to go there a lot when I lived on Maui, I'm on Oahu now. Don't know what the prices of the hotels r now but everything else is just a little more than Oahu or Maui. Look up Lodge At Koele ( In the mts.) & Manele Bay Hotel, ( on the ocean) If I could, I would be sitting by the pool at Manele Bay Hotel having lunch & cocktails enjoying the view. ( your blood pressure & heartrate automatically decrease & you go into euphoria) Aloha have fun & relax on Lanai.Get a local to give u a tour, private or tour group, ( there are organized tours there & the guides are very knowledgeable about "old Hawaii" & legends, some even BBQ lunch for u. very educational, I even went on one, had a blast! By the way excellent SCUBA diving spots! They'll teach you in the hotel pool sometimes for free!

Once Lanai was absolutely beautiful. But since Dole stop growing pineapple on all of Lanai. It has become an Island of bear landscape.
In its own way Lanai is still beautiful, but not its former glory.
Worth a day trip over to see. You can rent a car once there or take a tour of the Island. There are some beautiful beaches, as well as ship wreck beach.
To spend the night? Well if you want total silence. Go.
Both the Resorts or very nice. One right one the beach. Nice golf courses to.
But bring your best GOLD card if you plan to stay.
Give you and idea what Lanai can mean. Bill Gates rented the whole Island for his wedding.
If you go during whale season, ferry ride over and back is even more fun. You get whale watching for free.

Well...Lanai is tiny. It has a population of just over 3,000, and for most of its history, it housed the Dole pineapple plantation. Now, there are two major tourist hotels in Lanai (the Lodge at Koele and the Four Seasons). Things you can do there include snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding, and golfing. You can also rent a 4WD and drive around the island. But the island itself is only about 13 miles wide and 18 miles long.
If you are staying in Hawaii for a few days and have the budget, I'd suggest going to Lanai on a day trip since it's pretty small and IMHO has less to offer in terms of tourist attractions and sights than the other islands (Hawaii, Oahu, Maui, and Kauai). I'd suggest staying on one of the other islands and visiting Lanai if you have the time and budget. There aren't as many shopping, historic, or natural wonders in Lanai as the other islands in my opinion.

John gave you some very sturdy suggestion. lease a house and bypass to St John in the Virgin islands. no longer positive about golfing even with the undeniable fact that the seashores are perfect and there is tremendous procuring. (duty loose) you're on the breaking point of the British Virgin Islands so be positive to make a journey over. i do not comprehend the position you stay yet Hawaii is a lengthy vacation. once you've 2 weeks, i might want to guage going because the golfing is correct high quality. The jet lag is frustrating on you noticeably come domicile. The seashores do not evaluate to the Caribbean even with the undeniable fact that the surroundings is perfect. it really is that once in a existence time vacation as a results of distance. The procuring would not evaluate to the Caribbean both. the absolutely everyone is sensible and the nutrition is American ofcourse. i'd not propose the Bahamas for a honeymoon. Congratulations and characteristic an excellent vacation.
