It's about 4 billion years old.

At least, it's 4 billion years old in *reality*. Many religious mythological stories claim differently, and believe it or not, some people still believe them to this day.

Oh, and the dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago.

Here are some articles about these things:

All the evidence points to an old earth (about 4.5 billion years old, as others have already said), not a young one. I quickly scanned over your blog post and I didn't see you refute any of this evidence. I'll read it more in-depth later when I have time though, maybe you did include some.

4.5 Billion years. You see, 6000 years ago, the first civilization popped up. They were the Sumerians. They never said a great big egotistical god created them and that their world was a couple years old; no, they believed in MANY gods. and they are where the genesis stories come from. BTW, did you know Jerusalem was founded in 9000-8000 B.C.E? There's a few other sites like it, too.

They were brewing beer in Mesopotamia, just about the time you think the earth was being formed.

I think you are wallowing in willful ignorance and self-delusion. The earth is approximately 4.7 billion years old. The bible is comprised of the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of a tribe of ignorant Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders. The fact that you believe them indicates that you need to get your bolts tightened.

The earth is between 12,000 and 15,000 years old. This is worked out by the oldest calendar in existence which dates back to the beginning of time; the Jewish calendar. The Jewish calendar is way different to the accepted worldwide calendar and the world is probably only 5,981 years old according to their calendar. But when translated from the jewish calendar onto the worldwide accepted calendar the world is between 12 and 15 thousand years old.

It's older than what the Bible believers think it is. Yes, dinosaurs existed. Their bones prove it.
