No it will not grow back thicker or darker. That is a rumor with shaving as well, but that is only because of the way light hits the cut hair follicle. Waxing could actually decrease the amount of hair follicles you have over extended uses.

u should get rid of ur mustache if it is noticeable! yeah u can wax it, but i heard the skin gets wrinkles there if u use wax. u can try to use tweezers but don't ever try to shave it. U dont wanna look like a man, shaving it will make it thicker and darker for sure.

Waxing is your best option. It will NOT grow back worse---that's just a stupid old-wives tale. In fact, regular waxing will kill off many of the hair growth areas in the follicle, and over time your mustache will get thinner and thinner.

If you can afford it, go to a professional---they will do it quickly and hopefully relatively painlessly (it will sting, but it's not the end of the world). Also, your upper lip will be very red for awhile, so plan to do it on a day when you don't have to go to work or school.

I'm not sure about the waxing part but I have used tweezers on the hair above my lip and it stings. For me it stopped hurting doing this and some of the hair does not return if you get it out to the roots. If you can handle using tweezers than give it a try. It does not come back in thicker.

i used to tweeze my lip hair, but i recently got it waxed for the first time. i don't know why i didn't try it sooner. it didn't hurt, just a little tingling sensation and it takes less time than tweezing. i think waxing and tweezing are similar because you are pulling the hair out completely, it's just that waxing does it all at one time. from experience with the tweezing, less hair grows back and it doesn't grow in darker. since tweezing and waxing are so similar, i would think that you'd get the same result with waxing. make sure you get it professionally done.

Use wax or some sort of depilatory cream... it will not grow back thicker and darker if you wax it, and you can keep waxing it if it does grow back without the stubble result if you shave.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Waxing hurts the hair folicle and makes it weaker so over time it would become thin and eventually not grow back. Just the opposite of it coming back worse. So go ahead and heat up that wax.

First permit me say this. this is an absolute fable that your hair will advance lower back thicker and darker. Whoever suggested it extremely is loopy. If that have been actual all adult males who're going bald interior the universe ought to as we talk initiate waxing or shaving their heads so their hair might advance lower back thicker and darker. anyhow, different ideas for you will possibly incorporate laser, electroylsis, nair/hair removal cream, threading (like tweezing with long string), bleaching (which isn't eliminating, only lightens hair). I shaved mine with electric powered shaver for years. although, whilst i began out to have laser therapy achieved for the remainder of my hair on my face, they did the top lip besides. I even have in no way been happier. I even have some ultimate hairs left and only shave them off with electric powered shaver. And via how, nevertheless one hair growing to be out and same shade it extremely is been for 15 years. no longer darker, not greater...comparable to continually.
