Lonely,
Quite the contrary,
it will broaden your
horizons so much.
Congratulations.
I would suggest you go
for Spanish, nothing against
Italian which is a beautiful language.
But Spanish may become more
useful
So long my friend:

I think it depends on how fluent you are in your second language and how comfortable you are switching between languages. If you are fluent in your second language, then you shouldn't have much of a problem, especially if you are very used to switching between Arabic and English. If you are learning languages that are related to each other, like Spanish and Italian for example, it is much easier to pick up similar languages quicker. But if you want to learn a language that is completely different than the ones you already speak, it may be a little confusing. My second language is Spanish and my third is Chinese. Those are completely different from each other, and sometimes I would find myself using Spanish when I was trying to speak in Chinese...sounds crazy but it's true. I found it difficult to switch between two languages that I wasn't fluent in. But if you're fluent in Arabic and English, then it shouldn't be that hard for you. Good luck, and keep learning more languages!

Probably not. Italian is nothing like English, so you'll probably have no problem. But keep on practicing both your foreign languages if you want to keep your skill. In my case, I speak 7 languages, among which Spanish and Indonesian, but because I had no practice in Spanish at all since a couple of years, and a lot of practice in Indonesian, I tend to speak Indonesian each time I try to speak Spanish. But if I make an effort I can pick up Spanish relatively fast again. It's just a question of practice.

I speak English and German. Being a native English speaker, I find when I phone my Dad or friends in Canada, I have to think of what the English word is because I'm so use to speaking German. So my conversations in English are a little bit slower.

yes it will improve it. To be able to speak English, you dont need as strong a grounding in grammar as is required in other European languages. Learning a more structured language will not only improve your English, but also make it easier to learn additional languages.

Not necessarily, but it depends on your personal language capabilities.
I speak several languages and had no problem learning them and I can very quickly switch from one to the other in mixed language company.
The only downside is that I am always asked to translate and that becomes tedious.

Well, it depends, My mother language is Cantonese(one kind of Chinese) and I learned Mandarin (official Chinese language) when I go to school, and later I learned English, and now I am going to learn Japanese.
Sometime it's making my tongue tight because of so many different languages and I got my self mixed up.

learning more languages the better. in many cases, it improves the languages you already know. a lot of languages are loosely related. spanish french, italian are all closely related. learning new languages shouldn't hinder you at all. it makes you a lot smarter.

you just gotta keep on speaking all the languages so you dont forget any of them. but i guess it will be pretty confusing and hard to sort things out later when you speak a certain language.. like you get all toungue tied. but thats so cool to speak 3 languages!
