Please tell me most required things required in freelancing for a programmer.

If you have prior knowledge of freelancing and you are doing it alone then please tell me how much money, a good PHP programmer can make per hour. Is it good to do freelancing in place of job.

The most important things for a freelancer are experience and breadth of knowledge. To successfully freelance, you should know more than just PHP programming. System administration and database administration are two most common skillsets freelancers need. Database design wouldn't hurt, either. Experience with other programming languages is a definite plus, too. At the very least, you should be conversant with JavaScript.
