Try asking some health care specialists in general, DO NOT let them know why you are truly inquiring about this. Most will not participate in law suits against other doctors if they find out this reason. But ask them if they normally check someones blood work for tract infections after giving antibiotics. Also here are some questions for you. Did you notice any symptoms after the meds were administered? Did you report them? What did the doctor say about them? These are something they are going to ask and make sure you are emotionally prepared to take a stand and go through the death of your baby once again. This is very emotional and hurtful. Please don't go into this thinking you won't feel that pain again. The defense attorneys can be just cruel and malicious in these kind of cases. I'm sad to hear about your loss. I will be praying for you. hugs

If you feel the need to contact a lawyer, you should be able to talk with a malpractice lawyer for free. To be successful in a medical malpractice suit you have to first find a reputable doctor who is willing to say that a colleague did something wrong. It's hard to find doctors that will criticize a colleague. Medical malpractice cases are actually pretty hard to win. It takes time, lots of money and very good lawyers.

Please understand that you may hear something that you're not ready to hear. Understand that there may have been nothing that could have been done to save your son.

Yes. The doctors should have been carefully monitoring your baby, especially since he was premature. Get a really good medical malpractice attorney so you'll get all the money you deserve for your pain.

Hard to say. Hire a lawyer and medical experts to review your case specifically. What you're saying is very tricky. There are protocols, and if the medical professionals met the protocols, they're "safe." Your case would have to be meticulously scrutinized and reviewed against medical protocols.

You should sue them to teach them a lesson, but if you are those people who sue for money, then you are horrible.
