a spoon of tuna on his dog food is fine, or using tuna to get him to take meds, etc..but tuna has too much sodium for him to eat on a regular basis.
If you can find the low-sodium tuna, you can make great doggy treats with that...e-mail me if you would like recipes.

Yes, but not too much if your pooches are not used to our food. Otherwise I think you can give them a wee change and treat them to some fish. I would make sure that the tuna is in water or oil because brine might upset their stomachs and that would cause no end of damage to your garden!!

It depends on the salt levels, oils, etc. Fish to a dog will not harm them unless there are allergies. Mostly in dogs that have allergies in Chicken, beef and Lamb, it is suggested to use Mother Natures Recipe's Fish and Potato's dog food. So eating fish would not normally hurt a dog.

i used to make my own dogfood of canned tuna or chicken, and bran cereal, cottage cheese, oatmeal, eggs, and chopped veggies. so tuna is ok sometimes, but not the main source of food, good for treats.

yes also cooked and fresh vegetables, scraps from your dinner etc, research has proved that dogs that eat a mixed diet are healthier and live longer than dogs who are fed on dog food alone, espically make sure they have uncooked bones to chew on

Dogs need dog food. That is the only way to give them a well balanced diet.
