first of all if she is generally healthy and active and bright you need not worry, from ages 2 to 3 most children go through phases of not really eating as much as we adults think they should, don't run after her with food you will be setting up eating problems for years to come, make sure she sits with you and the family at meal times so you can lead by good example, don't make a big fuss if shes refusing food she will eat when she is hungry.

Is your daughter healthy? If she is not underweight, or have any other medical problems (such as anemia) caused from not eating enough, then don't force the issue. When my now 12 y/o daughter was a toddler (and actually continuing until puberty) she didn't eat much at all. At first I was freaking out about it, trying to force her to eat, but then after her doctor said she was a normal weight and healthy I stopped worrying so much. From that point I would just let her eat how much she wanted during meals, and if she wanted a snack during the day I would give it to her. Remember... it is actually healthier to eat 5-7 small meals throughout the day, than 3 big ones like most of us do. Just make sure that the foods your daughter is eating are healthy, and try not to waste too much of her appetite of junk.

I would talk to the her doctor about this. I do have a relative that had the same problem with her daughter. She was skin and bones, but you know, she is healthy, and now 11 yrs old. Still skinny, but picky eater. Her parents are too, vegetarians, so her picky habits come from them, I am sure. Does she like anything. Maybe you could juice some stuff, and add some fruit to make it sweet. My daughter was also like that. It is just so frustrating. You feel like they are starving, when, they really aren't. Good luck. Get some help about different ways to prepare the food.

When our daughter was two it was the same thing, big fight at meal time!! we used a little reverse psychology, a few games and ALOT of patience! Its always a challenge as every child is different! Keep in mind that if she's not drastically losing weight, you don't really have to worry, kids go through phases like that. Your girl will eat when she gets hungry. If you do become really concerned you can always talk to your doctor. Be patient, she won't starve! Good Luck :)

Kids tend to go through that. My son and my niece wouldn't eat anything. But when they do get hungry you will know. My son is now 17 and he is a husky 5'11 boy and he eats me out of house. So if you are worried maybe check with her pediatrician. But I'm sure that's just the way she is. They are also very active so if you have to chase her to eat than that's a great sign! They won't starve so don't worry!

Is she healthy, and the right size for her age? If so, then she is getting enough nourishment. Make sure she gets enough to drink in the warm weather. If you're worried about her not eating, a vitamin might be a good idea.

my daughter is 23 months and she barley eats anything at all. You have to remember though what we think is not much, could be a lot to them. Their little stomachs are not as big as ours, so they don't eat a lot. the size of HER fist is as big as her stomach so go by that, and if she is not way under weight then don't worry about it much

Give her little snacks you know she'll eat. Not junk food. You're letting her get out of control if you have to run after her.
