I saw this major workaholic for a few months. At first he would keep in contact very regularly, but then less often, he would only phone now and again from work. Eventually he stopped contact because he was working all the time. Is there any thing I can say or do to try to make it work? Or` is it just a hopeless case?

If you're asking for an 'older man's' advise you're probably younger. Now is your time to fool around, play and date lots of guys. Why do women (girls) go for the creeps always astounds me: he acts like he doesn't give a shat about you and makes you feel beggar. Great! This is a guy who you want to care about you? Doesn't even call. Is this a guy you'd recommend for your best girlfriend? You ARE a hopeless case if you keep wringing your heart out over this working dork! You can do better.

I had a friend who was dating a guy like this for a few years. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and left. There's usually two possiblities:
1. The guy has lost interest. It happens, and work can be an excuse. Not much that can be done these things just happen.
2. He's one of those types...work comes first. With people like that, you just have to accept them as they are. But to be honest, it will be hard to be happy unless your like that yourself. Some personalities just aren't good for relationships. This being one of those.
If you don't want to compromise, it's tough to be with a guy like that.

maybe he doesnt like you or you're not worth the time or worse..you could be ugly.. i'm a workaholic and if i find a girl i like i always make it a point to stay in contact..not for her but for me coz I LIKE THE GIRL...

Don't mean to be hurtful but he is just not that into you. No matter what the work schedule is, he WOULD MAKE time if he wanted to. Spend your time on someone who deserves you.
