He is totally INNOCENT. What it all boils down to is the French ans the Spanish are pissed that the Americans continue to beat them at their own game. They even pull a famous soccer player out of retirement to help them win the world cup and he ends up losing it for them because he can't help but to act like a baby. Let's review: the night before the Tour de France Ullrich (german) and Basso (italian) get booted from the tour for allegedly knowing a doctor who is being investigated. They were never test, they were just accused. All due to an investigation by the Spanish. Many of the people who got kicked out have already be proven innocent. Yet now they did not have a chance to race. Throught out the tour the French and Spanish rider took the yellow jersey a fair amount of times. The day Landis(not guilty) essentially clinches the yellow jersey for good after a painful ride he mysteriously tests positive for a high testosterone ratio. Another odd piece that doesn't add up is he was tested three time during the tour alone and yet nothing. Testosterone is not an instant performance enhancer. If it was there today it would have been there two weeks ago as well. Amazingly now that Landis's title is in question a Spanish rider would be the winner. One more point on the creditability of the testing lab...they are the same people who tried to pull this on Lance, but he is too powerful to let them beat him. The lab lost because it could not prove how the tests were done, when or even who conducted the tests.
Everybody wants to jump all over Floyd Landis because you mention him in he same conversation as Barry Bond and other true cheaters and people give into mob mentality. If people would do the math and some research you would see that this doesn't add up. The French and the Spanish can get away with a conspiracy like this because people will let them.

Just like the media I see that a lot of people are jumping on the band wagon and blaming Floyd before he has had a chance to prove his innocence. Personally I believe him innocent. If the courts find him guilty AFTER a fair trial then take his title away from him and ban him from the sport. If he is found innocent I hope he goes after everyone in the media that layed blame before the verdict and sues them for slander.
If you want answers go to the true source of cycling news www.velownews.com. They have some interesting articles talking about the defense that Floyd will probably raise. I'll include a small excerpt so all of you blamers can see that the exogenous testosterone found in the test doesn't immediately make him guilty. Read the following and see if you can still lay blame or if you want to hold your tongue and let Floyd have a fair trial.
The below excerpt was from two different postings on velownews.com

Get off the band wagon and let the man have his day in court.
Stand strong Floyd.

He is definitely guilty. The testosterone found in his body was proven to be SYNTHETIC in labs no matter what Landis claims. That means the testosterone came from an outside source. Also, the ratio of testerone permitted in blood for the tour de france is 4:1. Landis' testosterone level was 11:1 !!!! Normal testosterone levels should only be 2:1 anyways! Furthermore, Landis tested positive for high ratios of synthetic testosterone in both his A and B samples.
Of course you could always go with Landis' claims that everyone's out to get him. If you would like to read the rest of Landis' excuses, then read them here:

I was not aware that Landis had been cleared of any wrongdoing, but after reading an article on Bicycling.com, it appears to be a major miracle he can even still walk! Does this make what he did right? No. But I wonder, if he was taking any type of medication for his hip, could it have been what showed up as synthetic testosterone? Generally, I have little sympathy for athletes who deem taking drugs necessary to win.....Will be interesting to see the other answers.

Who said he is innocent? At this stage of the proceedings his A and B test have shown positive. So that means he is guilty.Yes, he has the right of appeal but at www.cycling.com most journos who follow the sport say he will be strpped of his tour win and most likely be banned for 3 years. As to who the bad guys are some may suggest that corporate greed is responsible.ALL FOR THE MIGHTY DOLLAR

First of all he's totally guilty. Here's why: I heard just this night that the world of sprinting is not actually where performance enhancement drugs are tested. First, they are tested on cyclists. Then it filters down to all the other sports. So he is definitely guilty. Should we blame him? No. Because look at what he has to look back at. There are countless American sprinters, other track, other sport athletes who have been caught and many others who have not been caught. He is just being American.
