america is equal to the military powers of iran....russia and china are a league above the american military...in a war now....china or russia can beat the hell out of america....america is an over hyped military..they r good but not good as they say they are....even with russia's poor but growing economy..russia could SMASH and THRASH the american military..besides america are soon becoming a rag tag military..they r scared of iran..russia and china....they have nukes but using them will result in america becoming a mere desert with no life..if russia or china has anything to say about that..face it america were the best...now the torch is being handed over to china..i think india could fight equally with the americans...the gap isnt as big as it were say 20 yrs ago...lets face it bush and america are sh*itting in their pants about iran gettin nukes..they dont know where to look...an invasion could be the official end of the united states as the world knows it to be!!!what do u think?

As soon as natural resources will become more rare, USA will collapse. Russia have many natural resources, they are slowly recovering and they can soon become very powerful country. China is also progressing.

Your question is absurd. Whose army is biggest and best? What's the difference? In the next war even a gutless wonder like Iran could produce havoc in the world if they are allowed to have nukes. Russia is out of it for certain. They don't have any money to even buy ammunition. China is a growing nation and will someday take over the world as number one. This is why America should stop doing business with them and throwing billions into their economy. They produce more weapons with this money. America is sick and the present administration has made it this way. I am not an American who believes that America is the biggest, bestest and strongest. We should in many ways mind our own business and let France lead the world. It would be all over for the world in thirty minutes and none of us would have to worry anymore.

Contrary to your beliefs my friend, if need be, the US military would decimate iran, russia and china. I think the US is growing tired of the way the world is behaving towards us, we help many countries with money and food, yet the world still hates us, maybe we should stop all of it, let everyone take care of themselves for a change. Wouldnt that be a sight? I am in the military, in iraq, and laugh at your comments that we are a rag tag military. And to the girl in israel, why would you want to live there knowing the kind of lifestyle you would be forced to live? It makes no sense.

I really try not to go off on people, I am attempting to stay open minded and answer your question rationally.

First when you say “russia and china are a league above the american military...in a war now” I assume you are talking about size as in pure numbers. I will agree that china does have a larger force of ground troops than we do. You forget that most of them are untrained or very poorly trained. You neglect to mention that their air force and navy could be trashed by the Mexican Military. The reason the Chinese military is so large is because for years in China couples have been trying to have only boys because in their culture they are worth more. In their short sidedness they forgot that these men need women to marry. This is exactly why they are building right now and their army is growing they need women. I think they will go to war soon with some country like Taiwan because of the mess they created for themselves.

As for Russia, you can’t be serious. I had the pleasure of doing some cross training with the Russian Navel Infantry in 96, they were supposed to be equivalent to our Marines. Buddy let me assure you, you are betting on the wrong horse. They haven’t been able to pay their military sense Gorbachev. They do have some nice out dated gear that countries like Venezuela want to purchase but they are only a shell of their former glory if they ever had any.

Now to deal with your assertion that the United States “is equal to the military powers of iran.... “. No my friend you are wrong. The United States is not equal to the military power of Iran, we exceed it. If you were not so ignorant you would remember that Iraq and Iran had been fighting for years before we invaded. During all those years of fighting the Iraqis were supposedly the most deadly nation on the planet with roughly double the military might of Iran. We stomped a mud hole in Iraq twice with our generals laughing the whole way. Yet some how you think they are equal to the United States, they are not even equal to Israel as far as military power goes.

People like you make me very happy, your total lack of knowledge and feeble grasp of reality warms my heart. It means one day I will be able to open a sweat shop in your country and have lots of mindless peons to stupid to know better work for me.

US Military power is over-hyped. Thats true. Although they are still the best military in the world.
As far as economy and especially technology is concerned. Sure they have a relatively small standing army in comparison to populaton size. But that doesnt mean they cant have 100 times more soldiers if they really wanted to.

China could be the best in the world if you just consider the total manpower readiness for war, and their willingness to die for their country. But they are very low on technology I am afraid.

When Empires go weaker, the first thing they lose, is their ideology and the second thing they lose is their ability to wage offensive warfare.
USA power now is pretty much due to a few good ideological people who written the constitution, and fought for that ideology.
Today USA is dumb and arrogant, so they lost their ideological lead. And they are about to lose their offensive capabilities in the next few decades.

Although I am surprised you mentioned an offensive on USA. You are certainly dreaming there. No one is going to attack USA on its own soil with their whole military.
Although if someone decides to attack them. Their bases around the world would be the first to be wipped off.
I can see China in 30 years time taking Taiwan and ******* up all the bases in the region.

I'm amazed to read your statement and wonder why it seems to you so important to write this.
Reading this from a European perspective, do I wonder if the American pride is only built on the fact that the country is able to defend itself.
If this is really true, then I would need to think that the American culture is very poor, being just based on warefare and threat.
I have lived through the cold war, seeing people protesting against the nucelar threat, treaties being made to reduce weapons, etc. I did not feel safe im my home country during those years, but we managed to overcome this, by good people talking to each other and people making the big step and freeing themselve.
War, weapons and how strong a country is in this respect is not everything and is also not everything in the US....

it somewhat is a robust thought on renounce American nuke to Iran. yet who could make constructive it is going to used only for potential purposes?
