I've been on just about every kind of anti-depressant from Prozac to Topomax to Wellbutrin and the list goes on. Obviously none of them worked. Cymbalta is the first one that has actually made me feel good. I've been on it for 10 months and I can't say I've had any side effects. I'm bipolar so I still have episodes of depression, but they are nothing like they were before Cymbalta. I even laugh and joke around now. I feel clear-headed and I'm capable of doing things that I didn't do with the other drugs.

Any drug takes time to get into your system, so if you don't feel anything yet, give it some time. If you don't notice a change in say 3-4 weeks, talk to your prescribing doctor and tell him what's happening.

You can talk to your pharmacist about the side effects. With every bottle comes a leaflet put out by the drug company. Be sure to ask the pharmacist to give it to you when you refill. Most people don't bother with that information sheet and it gets thrown away.

I know some people on it and they say it's helping them.
The biggest help has been that it has eliminated all of the body aches and pains that were caused by the depression, especially in the head, neck, shoulders, and back.
Also, they say they laugh more easily and make jokes. They also say that is has calmed their anxiety quite a bit.
The only side effect they mentioned was sleepiness and maybe nausea initially, but this disappeared after a few weeks.

I'm on it. 90 mg.
In my opinion, it isn't helping anything at all. But that's not to say it won't help you. I haven't had any side effects from it other than the "Brain shocks" one gets if you forget to take it for a day.

If you are ok with not getting boners, it will be fine. Otherwise, do it naturally.
