What that person probably meant by "Fake Saint" is a person who on the outside appears to everybody a spiritual, religious, and morally sound person, while in reality that person is evil, and doesn't care for his fellow human being.

There are 21 verses that use the word "sinner". None of them have the phrase "better to die a sinner then be a fake saint".

The term "fake saint" do not occur in the bible as well.

Sorry but that is what is in book.

Hey unknown,

The bible does not use the phrase fake-saint but it does use the phrases such as false-prophets. In terms of the quote above- both are terrible. Both will suffer the same fate.

God definitely gives ample warning about how to identify false prophets and teachers. He says by their fruits you will know them. And he also gives warning in the gospel that to mislead another you are better off tying a millstone to your neck and throwing yourself in the ocean (in other words) those who mislead others will have to answer to the Lord one day and the Lord will not be fooled.

A fake saint i suppose then is someone who claims to know and follow God and his lifestyle and teachings do not. It misleads people because these people who are supposed to give others a picture of who God is- mislead others...

Hope that helps,

Nickster

My first inclination is to say no there is no such thing as a fake saint.

Coming to think of it however, it strikes me that a Pharisee could be viewed as a fake saint...

There are Pharisees in all world-views (including atheism and all world religions).

Cordially,
John

this is both awrong, to die a sinner is wrong and also to die a fake saint is wrong, they say this is better to die a sinneer than..........., thats because this fake saints are the more that is indulge in charismatic activity.
but we are all sinners, no body does not sin. no one is perfect. so why critizising others, we are all sinners.
better to wipe the dirt in our face than first seing the dirt of others.
maybe i help.

All True Christians are called SAINTS in the Bible.
the catholic cult get their saints from appointment out of the Vatican.

Hope that helps- I never heard of "'fake saints"" as such.
