Also, to give you some reference, we are both working professionals. He is in his mid-30's, never married. He is no longer reporting to his family.

I worked with some Hindu's. Oral sex is a taboo!!! They all couldn't understand American people doing that. They told they see their wives completely naked. She pulls her gown up in bed for sex and undresses in the show. I am sure not all people are the same. But the 7 Hindus I worked with told me that. Which kinda supprised when I read India has the second highest reported cases of aids.. I did read that.

Well I will explain in terms of Bhagavad Gita..
In Vedic Culture, Sex is not wrong, Illicit Sex is wrong..
In Bhagavad Gita it is said the God's will resides in Sex that is performed under the religious Principles..
Such Sex is for Producing Good Childrens and raising then God Conscious or Krishna Conscious so that they can get a chance to end all material suffering.Such Sex is rather Glorified.
However Sex outside marriage is forbidden and is considered as the root cause of all Sin. Lust, Anger and Greed are considered as the gateway to Hell.. Even inside marriage there are regulations in terms of Place and Time for Sex.
However you will find very few Hindus practicing this.. They have started to imitate the West, thanks to the media that survives by exploiting Women ...
Generally a Hindu Women if she like a Boy she thinks of Marrying him, But general Western women first thinks of Sex ...

well hindus beleive that KAMA is also one part of their faith along with dharma, karma and moksha.
sex was initially held very sacred but with time everything gets corrupted. there was this documentary a few days back in one of the TV channels regarding a large no:of girls being cheated. and last decmber on MTV, they showed that right now India has the highest victims of AIDS.
and moreover some burn their wives and daughter-in-laws for dowry, so i would rather stay far away from them. i got to know this from the special report of Lisa Ling on NGC.
but lately i have been seeing many guys from that religion having too many pre/extra marital affairs like most people. also some get married to western girls and again go back to their country and marry some1 from their parent's choice and have 2 families running at a time. and both girls will not know until later. i have personally had a few freinds who did this.

Orthodox (traditional) Hindu families are very strict about sex (no dating or sex before marriage or outside of marriage).
However young Hindu men, when away from their families, are just like young men anywhere -- capable of both pre-marital and extra-marital sex.
Also while a Hindu man may date a western woman when he is away from his family... when it becomes time for the guy to get married, he will face an enormous amount of pressure (if he is from a traditional/ orthodox Hindu family) to abandon the western woman and marry a woman of his families' choice.
Most young men who are in situations will ultimately obey their familes and abandon the western woman (for a traditional "pure" woman chosen by their family).

i am 23 year old indian guy in germany , I havent dated girls and I am still a virgin , in my case my parents hate the idea of a guy without a job or still studying dating girls for them sex is too far away at this age , I started drinking at the age of 21 and I drink very less , although I am quite extrovert , I still havent dated any white girl , partly because of the fact that my family is not exactly used to the idea of white girls in the 'clan' .. in your case it depends how close he is to his family and what are his family standards education wise and social states , typically educated open families are quite forthcoming at this ....in some cases many a times western women are just for fun and only indian women are preferred to settle down, but now indian guys mentality has started to change they seem to like western women a lot as well, my family is open to the fact that if i want i go for any western girl although no one has been with one till now , although if he is planning to settle back in india then he might not prefer you because it would be tough for you to become compatible with the weather , society , culture and the mind set ...apart from that it also depends on the guy himself ...sometimes indians go to work for menial jobs in foreign countries with families still left in india and then marry a white girl for the citizenship , this is very common in the state of punjab..
I would just tell you to not expect much from this relation first try to make out as to what he really wants in his life ...if he is a mama's boy then forget it ...he would marry a girl of their choice once he thru sleeping with the white girl....if he has his own personality and mind with a good job, education then he is not dating you for the citizenship but probably because he is looking for a nice girl
