God knows how hot to make your furnace and how long to keep you in there. Trust that God is in control of your life. He brought you to this point for a reason. Sometimes our problems bring us to God. Use this time to grow close to the Lord by thanking Him for this trial. Pray to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior by believing that He died to pay for your sins. Ask Him for forgiveness and invite Him into your life. Read His Word, the Bible. Go to a Bible believing Church that believes in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
I have been there and have done that. I can honestly say that my furnace has brought me one giant step towards eternal life, the most presious gift that anyone can get. If you have already received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, hang on, this could be a test or an assault from the enemy on your faith. Pray and hold on and trust and believe that God will deliver you.
One more thing. If God does deliver you, remember to give Him ALL the glory and turn your life from doing the same mistake.

First time offense? That will make a big difference in the verdict. If this is the first time you have messed up (bad way to learn not to take rides from strangers...hopefully your drug test was clean) telling the truth about the events should get you off on probation and a fine. Just make sure to get a good lawyer, quality representation makes all the difference. Get someone who deals with such cases on a regular basis and who will work out some sort of payment plan for the services which you can afford. Hopefully they judge will take pity on you and go with whatever the least allowable charge is (which I am assuming is a fine and probation...probably community service too)

200 lbs!!! OH honey!
Ok first..Who's car was it? That can make a BIG difference. Odd are if it was theirs, and you had no prior knowledge then you will be just fine. Maybe a little slap on the wrist, etc...
What state where you in at the time?
Since you were crossing state lines are you being prosecuted federally? Or in the state that it happened in?
What exactly are the charges? Intent to sell? trafficking? possession?
If it was your car, or anyway to prove you knew what was going on, then you can be in a massive amt. of trouble. Sorry to tell you that one.
It just really depends on the charges, jurisdiction etc...What I would really be worried about was the amt. that was found. That can really up the ante a lot.
Good luck!!!!

I have never been in your situation, but you need to get a good lawyer, and make sure you tell that person everything, so he can help you to get out. Trust me call on Jesus, He will drop the charges

you went to help deliver the goods. That was your priority, and you left your child behind. You are very guilty, even though you are playing victim. If you truley love your child you would think twice before making these decisions. Now you will have to pay. Better ask God for help and live right from now on.

your "friend" needs to admit it was his/her dope. if not then you should plead innocent and try your case in court. if it wasn't your car then you should be able to beat this rap. if you have any prior drug trafficking convictions then you should take the best deal your lawyer can get.
p.s. you should really ask this question in the Law category. prayer is not going to help your situation.

You messed up bad. However, if the driver will not take responsibility, the strike a deal where you can get probation and not lose your child.
Good luck, and be smarter next time!
