Why is it better to work out on an empty stomach?

if ur stomach is full...ur body will enlarge the blood vessels in the stomach and the intestines...increasing the blood supply in these areas to go pick up the food. if ur stomach is empty. then ur body can enlarge the blood vessels in ur muscles...to increase the blood supply there...the blood will deliver oxygen and nutrients to ur muscles and take away the lactic acid.....so ur body won't send as much blood to ur muscles if ur digesting something.

actually i hope u don't mean hungry when u say empty stomach...don't work out when u feel hungry...empty stomach is ok...like 1 hr after u eat.

who said it is better to work out on an empty stomach? you may feel weak, tired, or faint if you are too hungry. i suggest a light healthy snack before a workout to give you energy without the full and bloated feel.
