removing all chemicals and processing from your hair to return it to its natural state. if hair is over processed it can take a few treatments, however it can also strip your hair of moisture. deep conditioning is normally needed after.

It is basically a seriously deep bleach job. It will not send you to your natural color. It will remove all of the dye. I wouldn't suggest it. You could grow your hair out and it would be healthier. When I did it, two inches at the root were my natural color, and the rest was previously died. I ended up looking like Lealou off of the Fifth Element (blonde roots/red hair). It was horrible!!! I cut my hair fairly short to help. For the next year I used temporary hair dye (nice n' easy or similar). I picked a color that was close to my natural color. Eventually, it was back, but it took a while. It will depend on how quickly your hair grows. When you strip your hair, you will damage it severely. There is no way around it. I would not recommend it. Regardless, always super-condition your hair after dying and weekly afterwards. Your hair dries out and breaks, frizzes, etc.

I used to use Lori Davis, which was wonderful but I can't find it anymore. Now I use Catwalk's Oatmeal and Honey Treatment shampoo & conditioner, followed up with Biolage's leave in treatment. For frizz, I use Factor S. A little pricey, but I have found that the best way to keep your hair healty is to not wash it daily. I was twice a week. The natural scalp oils are very good for your hair. Overwashing will just add to the damage caused by dyeing.

Sorry for getting off track. But, who doesn't want pretty hair!?

it removes all color from you hair, like bleaching...then, you have to put color on the hair, as close to natural hair color as possible. stripping is very drying to your hair, and most stylists do not use this technique to achieve what you want. to strip the hair, you would have to be coloring your hair a darker color than your own natural color!

Sorry, I first said it's bleaching but I was wrong (english is not my first language). Stripping your hair means "cleaning" it (taking off the artificial color from it)

It having chemicals put in it to remove the colour. I think it removes all the pigment from your hair. Also, it will severly damage your hair. If I were you, I'd just dye my hair to a close shade of my natural colour.

its bad for your hair.you strip all the color out picture it as the strongest form of bleach on your whole head.Theres no color left and after its done you have to color it .Than the color doesn't hold that well afterwords because the hair underneath has no porosity to hold the color.Bad idea
