The common cold isgoing to run it course no matter what you do. Easeing the symptoms trick people into thinking they are better when they are not, plus you want to go the duration cause the sickness that you feel is you immune system learning basically how to kill that same strain of virus so you wont get that strain again. Plenty of fluids, lots of rest, and a fever reducer if your fever gets overly high. That is the best way to help ypur immune system beat and learn from the invading virus

Studies have shown over and over that there is no medical way to lessen the duration of a cold. All you can do is treat the symptoms to make yourself more comfortable. Sleep and fluids help your body deal with the infection, and help you from not having cold develop into something worse, such as bronchitis.

I don't think you can... It has to run its course.. However, you can make it easier on yourself by getting rest and drinking lots of fluids... In the future, I suggest prevention is the best key.. Wash your hands alot, drink orange juice, take vitamins, eat fruits and vegetables, get plenty of sleep and don't kiss anyone who has a cold.. Hope you feel better!!!
