You could very well be having an allergic reaction to the tattoo ink. It is not completely uncommon and can happen to anyone at any time regardless of the number of tattoo's they have. The symptoms can be itching, swelling, hives, rashes. Ask your doctor or your tattoo artist about it. Usually for the non severe ones they can be treated at home.

ummm no its not tattoos usually heal up for the most part after a week that you get a tattoo, are you sure you took care of it right? did you go to a clean place, like was everything steralized? this isnt good and should be seen by a doctor.

no it is not normal at all. go get it checked out. Wow 4 months later...i went and played baseball and hour after getting a tattoo across my lower back. Until you get to the DRs use bacticine or another antibacterial application. Good luck with it
