The better question is: Why haven't you helped yourselves?
Why is it everyone thinks the US government has to do everything for everyone? Why hasn't your country done anything to help your own people? Why aren't you out there DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOW INSTEAD OF INVITING PEOPLE TO YOUR PITY PARTY ON THE INTERNET?

We have not failed you, you have failed yourselves. Stand up and do something to make your country great. Have some pride in yourselves, your heritage and your country. Mexico can be a great country if you would get off your butts and fix the problems. Things got bad here did we all try to sneak into Canada and Mexico.....No!!! We worked hhard, we fought and made this country the greatest in the world. There is no excuses as to why you cannot do the same in Mexico.
Do you know this: We are free. I can say what I want and do what I want. I dont have to fear death or jail for having an opinion other than the governments and I can believe in any religion I want to with out going to jail or being killed. I can own guns and carry them virtually anywhere legally. I can own a house, 2 cars, a boat, a motorcycle and anything I want. I am a musician and can play the music I choose to without my government taking my equipment away and sending me to jail. I can vote for who runs my country. In fact I can run for an office if I want to. ALL freedoms that people in most other countries of the world do not have and will never enjoy. I do not have to sneak into another country illegally because my own is too bad to live in and I do not have the balls to try to fix the problem myself with my fellow citizens. It works here very well and could work for other countries just as well.

I was thinking the other day, what is so bad about Mexico? Why is it a third world country? What is their political system like? I know that there is a vote, but I'm not sure if it is like a vote here or a vote in Soviet Russia or what. There's a lot of wonderful things that I know of about Mexico and a lot that seems bad, but why is it that way and what could be done to change this? I wonder, will anyone ask questions that really make sense and could actually lead to some kind of constructive dialog so that maybe all of North America could be strong and vital? Please stop asking incendiary questions and start asking things that make people think about how to change things. Give it some thought. The more people that want to help, the better off all of the people of the Americas will be. The thing is that we have to start by understanding how we can change the bad to make it good.

OK you have got to be American posing as mexican. I've read some of your other posts etc.. there is no way you are Mexican. First of all if you are, you have really practiced on reading and writing your english. The comments on undocumented workers as opposed to illegal aliens, then protesting in the United States.
So I am willing to bet you are either already in America, or an american citizen acting like an ***. LOL
If not, then how about this, its not America's job to take care of you. We can't and didn't fail you, talk to YOUR president if you don't like how things are going in OUR country.

The question should be "Why have you failed yourselves?" Many nations blame all the world woes on America and then want us to solve your problems. If I were president, I would close the doors...true we would suffer from fuel shortages as well as many other things...but let other countries do their own thing. If they choose to kill each other ...fine but it is not our problem...Starvation....sorry but you got to handle it. Sounds cruel but as a result of the US attempting to solve problems for others...the problems have turned into nightmares. Vietnam and Korea cost many lives and billions of dollars but for what? Will the war in Iraq be solved...NO...it is a war of guerillas...and we should have learned that lesson in Vietnam...and look at the stability we created in Afghanistan......do we really want or need to help others?
