Islam has a peculiar respect for logic and human reasoning. So it has constructed a dogma that applies to the Bible as well as the Koran.

Thus it barges in and offers corrections to other related belief systems.

'Light overcomes darkness' is maybe your explanation but again, maybe its pay-back for all the Christian Missionary fanatics who forced conversion on the inhabitants of newly discovered lands e.g. Africa and the America's and, I don't think Judaism has ever had a Missionary problem except when Jews were converting Jews to Christianity 2000 years ago. Of the three faiths Judaism is the 'Root', or 'Parent' through Abraham; and had two children named Christian and Muslim. The children squabbled amongst themselves but Muslim, who really was a good child of Abraham fell under the influence of teachers who changed the messages of peace their parent sent to them in the 'Quran' by manipulation, misrepresenting their guidance. I am not a member of any of these faiths, but I respect their belief!

For the same reason that Christians try to correct Muslims' beliefs. They think that they have better knowledge. Occasionally, they are right. Much more often, the issues simply cannot be settled by rational discourse -- they are articles of faith, and reason and logic simply are considered inapplicable. My own view is that since they are all unproveable, there is no point (other than purely academic interest) in paying attention to any of them.
As for the responder who is quoting the Qur'an at me, the book has errors and thus cannot be considered authoritative in any sense. And anybody who uses the religious text(s) of his own faith to try to prove something to somebody else is an idiot.

Islam corrects nothing but themsleves and can't even do that right!! False god, false prophet, false word of god, false teachings, false scientific proofs. All derived from a murdering, cantankerous, lying, sexual predator named muhammed that got this moon god allah from a trash heap in a village.

Some Muslims have claimed that the word "Allah" is in the Bible because the Biblical word "Allelujah." They then mispronounce the word as "Allah-lujah" But "Allelujah" is not a compound Arabic word with "Allah" being the first part of the word. It is a Hebrew word with the name of God being "JAH" (or Yahweh) and the verb "alle" meaning "praise to." It means "praise to Yahweh." The Arabic word "Allah" is not in the word.
The same error is found in the Muslim argument that the word "Baca" (Psa. 94:6) really means "Mecca." The valley of Baca is in northern Israel.
The present meaning of a word is irrelevant to what it meant in ancient times. The word "Allah" is a good example. When confronted by the historical evidence that the word was used by pagan Arabs in pre-Islamic times to refer to a high god who was married to the sun-goddess and had three daughters, some Muslims will quote dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. to prove that "Allah means God." They are thus using modern definitions to define what the word meant over a thousand years ago! What "Allah" means now has no bearing on what it meant before Muhammad.
The bible was around many centuries before the quran. It is not up to the bible to disprove the quran, the Bible has proven itself. The quran needs to prove itself. But the only way you do this is by running in circles...
Proving Allah by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Allah.
Proving Muhammad by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Muhammad.
Proving Islam by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Islam.

Round and round you go!!!

Actually, God revealed the Holy Qur'an to humanity after the Christian and Jewish "religions" had become corrupt and lost the meaning of their original message. God is the one who corrects wrong beliefs using Islam.

What was the original message? Easy, its: There is no god but The One God and Jesus and Muhammad are His slaves and Messengers.

first there were jews and they have their belifs, many years later god sent the angeel (portions of the bible) to the christians then many years after that al Qur'an was sent to Muslims... it is a continuation of the way religion should be practiced .
God is all knowing and the concept of religion was too tough for mankind in one large amount so it was given in steps, therefore Islam is the truth

Debating one religion against another is a mug's game - there's never a winner.
However, if one reads the Koran, one will find chapters with the following names : Abraham, Jonah, Joseph, Mary (mother of Jesus), Children of Israel.
In fact, Jesus is mentioned more times in the Koran than Muhammad!

Same reasons Christians try to "correct" other's beliefs. Because they are weak minded jackasses that need others to believe what they believe so that they can justify buying into what is obviously absolute crap!

Don't eat a pig, you'll go to hell.
