You pay for what you get most of the time... I have seen quality road tires range from 35 to 50 bucks... depends on your preferences.

I ride Specialized Sworks Mondo... they are priced around 50 bucks, but I get a bike club discount at several local bike shops. Good luck and ride safe!

At a resonably priced bicycle store!! I have never found them to be that expensive. Even discount stores have them, but for your size, a good bicycle store usually will do the work very inexpensively.

If you don't want to support your local bike shop you can always go to

www.performancebike.com

typically your not going to save a ton on tires, I'd go to my local bike shop to buy them. Makes it easier if they get to know you and you need them to do something for you in a hurry (quick repair or expedite an order) they are more apt to help regular customers than one time buyers.

If you have an R.E.I. (Recreational Equipment Incorporated) in your area, try them. I have several in my area, and their tire prices have been very reasonable.
