Acne or pimples are a complexion problem resulting in skin inflammations. The specific type and cause of an acne problem may affect how the acne is treated. Acne can be caused by stress, hormonal activity, bacteria, steroids, and over-active glands. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne.
