People are generally "tallest" when they first wake up in the morning. The reasons are easy to apprehend: lying supine or otherwise horizontally fairly stretches the joints out rather than puts pressure on them from gravity.

physiologically, u r ur tallest in the morning when u wake up....because during the night, as u sleep, ur back straightens out.

As soon as you wake up. The spine "shrinks" during the day due to the weight it bears and regains its length when the weight is off it (when you sleep).
I forget the exact figure but it's around 1cm.

All the time. I feel tall inside whenever I help someone or did something meaningful and I believe tallnest on the inside is what really counts.

when you wake up in the morning and first get out of bed. Remaining in the laying down position all night allows your vertebrae to relax and spread out to their maximum height.
