Does that mean that Pat Robertson should be charged with attempted murder for praying for the deaths of supreme court justices?
Think about it.

for lil bit,
If they ever show that prayer actually WORKS,
Then Robertson would have attempted to use an effective means to end another person's life.
That's a pretty good definition of attempted murder, IMHO.

PS: the most recent and methodologically sound (double blind, RCT) study of prayer actually showed that the patients (cardiac patients in that study) who were prayed for actually did WORSE than the control patients. The difference wasn't statistically significant, but it definitely didn't support the idea that prayer words, so I guess Robertson should count himself lucky

See under Robertson's "Operation Supreme Court" for info relating to his prayer campaign to kill supreme court justices.

Well they recently tried to do just that, and came up with some odd answers. If somoue was prayed for and didn't know the results were similsr to those who wern't prayed for, but if they knew results were worse. T he study blamed this on performance anxiety, but I don't know if that's it.

I am not aware that Robertson prayed for someones death.
IF HE DID-- then in The Gods Eyes HE IS A MURDERER!
To lust after a woman is the same as having her.
SAME APPLIES!
If Robertson did indeed pray for someones death.

do you think some countries who pray for our demise should be charged with attempted murder or murder?
I know prayer works for health matters, but when it is in the negative I don't know, but let's hope some people come to their senses.

Robertson is insane. It is sad that he is in a position to poison peoples thoughts with his illness.

If prayers really do work, then it would also be true that God only answers selfless payers. So, to pray for death upon someone else would be a selfish act that God would not permit.

It should be a crime to even think of ill coming to another person. They should cut out the part of the brain where the thought occurred. :)

If you ask me, it has been proven many times over that prayer really works. So, the question is not really hypothetical. And, I guess, no, they won't be able to charge him with that. Interesting thought, though.

We do not decided what happens we can plead our case to God thorugh prayer and talk to Him about what is going on and ask for His guidence but that is about it. There is power in prayer. It keeps Christians connected to God! You maynot beable to see it now but someday you will.
