like if you are doing HVAC you still have a basic knowledge of quantum mechanics.

Quantum mechanics has relevancy to thermodynamics, and thermodynamics has relevancy to HVAC.

Even if you're doing HVAC, you just never know when a quantum might begin to operate erratically and need a mechanic to repair it.

First of all it helps the engineer determine the structure of molecules at the atomic and subatomic level. Its like chemistry. You want to know what and how the structure of the atom will affect your end product.

I guess it helps with the heat transfer stuff for chem and mech guys. It applies more to the electrical guys- with radar signals and what not. ------- O yeah I nearly forgot- If you ever need to select a laser to do anything, you will need to know quantum physics.
