I am a Christian, and I don't believe that. If a person is in the KKK then they have hatred toward their fellow man, there is no room for that in Christianity.

Hi elliot,

i think first you'll find that some of those who answered were not expressing Christian sentiments (ie: answerers with names like Atheist and Beavis Christ- are not representing what Christians actually believe).

The Bible clearly teaches that we are to love. While KKK members have historically quoted bible verses and tried to justify white supremacy through it- it is clearly not biblical.

1 John says that if you love God but hate your brother you are clearly not of God. That would describe KKK members quite well.

So please be careful about making generalizations without examining the facts a little more closely. If you've looked at other questions where Christianity was suggested to be a white man's religion or any similar types of emails- you will find many Christians answering that God does not approve of bigotry.

Hope that helps,

Nickster

no, people are people and many do wrong. David killed a poor mans wife so that he could marry her and Saul consulted with a medium. Do I think they need help? Yeah, of course because although they say that they believe... They couldnt possibly believe that the Lord wills them to do the things which they do. But it's no different then befriending a fornicator and never once mentioning... to them this same question. How can you profess your love for Jesus each week and then go home and lay up with your boyfriend? :) People have put different charges on sin and I have realized that the most acceptable are the ones that just about everyone is doing i.e. fornication, lieing, and homosexuality.

Not at all, I think KKK members believe they are Christians and that all other races are Mud people. Their friends, The White Aryan Brotherhood believe they are Christians, also. Aside from burning churches, and distributing hate mail, they murdered two people here, spoke proudly of their devotion to God, then while in jail nearly killed a young guard.

Hey, I criticize Christianity for many things but not for that. I think you are not correctly stating the relationship. KKK members have been known to consider themselves to be Christians and to quote Bible scripture to defend their perverted beliefs, but I really doubt that the vast majority of Christians would agree that the KKK are Christians.

You have a basic logic fallacy. The statement "Most KKK members consider themselves to be Christian" is not equivalent to "Most Christians consider KKK members to be Christians".

Who? What? You have some wires crossed.

I am a Christian. I live in the Bible belt, and I know hundreds of other Christians.

NONE of us consider ANYONE in the KKK to be saved, by any stretch of the imagination.

But thanks for trying to propogate that little myth. Not.

....additional....
And about your little note, most of the people who answered "yes" on that question were NOT Christians! They were Christian-criticizers eager to equate Christianity with hate! So your question is still flawed -- _Christians_ do not consider racists to be Christians. Neither does Jesus, and He is who keeps the Book of Life.

KKK BAD BAD BAD. heck i may look white, but i am a Heinz 57(many nationality's too many to name) proud of all of them. once my mother called a man with her same name as her last name and he said that he doubts they were related because he was black. her words i never forget. she said that you never know we might still be related and that she had no problem with that. my family is proud to have so much in our blood. when i am asked what race i am i tell them they don't have my category. Heinz 57 is my race. Hungarian, German, Irish, Scottish, British, 3 native American. just to name a few. i am a christian. i don't like the KKK or the black version of the KKK, which they call themselves another name. i don't like racism of any kind. (does that make me a rasist) we are all the same on the inside. breeding hate isn't christian and those KKK types are haters.

Really? What Christians are these? Ones that secretly belong themselves or something like that? No true Christian would belong to a hate group, especially one that hated the Jewish people like the KKK does. Or did you think that they only had it out for black people?

I am a Christian, and I do not believe that.

Where is the love of God in all that? You can not love God and hate your brother.
God said that we, as Christians, are to love all. There is NO room, whatsoever, for any hate..and that's all the KKK is about.
