Those "brown" spots sound like damaged skin cells from the Sun's UV rays. Commonly dismissed as "freckles", such spots are to be taken seriously and call for UV light / Sun ray protection by using effective sun-block products.

One rule of thumb w/ sunblocks: the higher the SPF number, the better the protection is. I'd make very good use of sunblock from here on if I were you and make efforts to stay out of the Sun so much. If you got to go out for long periods of time, use the sunblock and wear a protective hat to help offer some shade.

Squeezing pimples can leave a spot and that spot can be there for a loooong time. I have done that before and the spot will not go away long after the pimple has healed. Just leave the pimples alone.
Try using a vitamin mask. Herbalife has one. Maybe neutrogena has one too.
