It's not a sunburn. Nor did he play with fire. It was spontaneous and creepy. I actually saw his back redden. It might be an allergic reaction. Alcohol just worsens it. Oh please. Please! Please help me!

Ok. My brother's face, back, chest, butt, and legs are really red! I made him lie down. He's more calm, but it still burns and it's itching him so badly. He's currently lying on the bed. I'm scared to called 911. My parents will be angry at me and my little siblings are gonna go crazy. I'm only 16 and I feel so irresponsible. He's subconscious right now. Oh please. Help me!

I gave my borther benadryl a little earlier, but I'm still to scared to call 911. I think my brother is asleep but I'm not sure. I think it was an allergic reaction, but I don't know what he ate. The redness has cooled a bit, but I dare not touch him. I feel very relieved now. But I'm still worried. My parents should be back tommorrow night. I think I should sleep besides him for the night to make sure he's alright. Thank you guys for all your help.

If its some kind of allergic reaction, use benadryl.
Surely you have the number to another family member who may be able to come over and access the situation.
It will be ok.. so calm down, just get help.

Did he stay out in the sun too long? It sounds like a bad sunburn. He will be uncomfortable but he will not die. Gently pat him dry and let him lie on his stomach.
www.mayoclinic.com's first aid site suggested
* Take a cool bath or shower.
* Apply an aloe vera lotion several times a day.
* Leave blisters intact to speed healing and avoid infection.
* If needed, take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Aleve) or acetaminophen (Tylenol, others). Don't give children or teenagers aspirin. It may cause Reye's syndrome, a rare, but potentially fatal, disease.

If your sunburn begins to blister or if you experience immediate complications, such as rash, itching or fever, see your doctor.

if you are talking about "burns" with fire you should go as fast as possible to the ER if you can see watery leakage from the skin.
if it is a fire burn but there is no leakage, the situation is not very dangerous but it is dangerous and you should seek medical attention
but if it was due to a sun burn it will requires almost a week to get better and you should just avoid touching it.

It sounds so much like an allergic reaction to something. It sounds like hives. Give him an allergy pill like Benedryl. Give it time to work. If it does not improve, he needs medical attention. Good luck and let us know.
