I think there are alot of people that could do their job without a degree. The focus should be placed on taking courses and training for the job you are getting. I know alot of people that have college degrees and either go from job to job or can't find work. They wouldn't dare take a job at mcdonalds because they have a degree so they sit on their butt whereas if someone like myself who is a simple working person would be expected to take what I can get. These people complain because they get 40K a year and can't make it, come on, I make 25% of that and they should be ashamed. We have some of the most unreasonble teachers around today that work students even on their weekends with too much reading and homework. They end up having students that hate them rather than respect them.

Some degrees cost more than a house. Education is good, but you can overdo it. Some people can spend their whole life studying, and never leave the University. The difficult part is getting the work/life balance right.

Why would you say that? People work very hard to get them and often go to school longer just to get a degree that leads to a job that doesn't pay as well as some others. I don't think that is a joke.

Yeah, you're right. Teachers should not have any accreditation. We should just let anyone teach children.

No, mostly because everywhere you go someplace will need a teacher.
