19,000 sq ft home...do you live in the freakin White House? In a house that big I doubt you are too worried about the cost of anything.

First of all, I'm going to assume you added an extra zero. whether or not that's the case, and you wanted me to do the job, you have to put me on a retainer, and allow me all the time I needed, without being a foreman over me.

In any event, my labor charge is $40 per hour, and if this molding is already stained, I might charge more.

Perfection is certainly a noble pursuit, and we should strive for it. All of us define it differently however, so attainment might not work for you, in what I perceive as perfection. I'm GOOD not GOD.

A literal fortune...that is a huge house...are you sure you don't mean 1900 sq feet! 19,000 sq feet is about 100' X 190" !!!! That is a large warehouse!

19,000 sf house is huge. Maybe you mean 1900? In anycase, I estimate $1 per linear foot of base board and door casing. Crown molding would be considerably more.

The "it must be perfect" line means I couldn't charge you enough.
Nothing is perfect.
