I do not know your ages, but how about a nice 'spa package' and lunch? You could each go in for a massage and whatever else you want and then go out to a very relaxing, cozing lunch or early dinner afterwards. I know that is what I would like vs a gift!

give him a tall warm glass of you. seriously IF AND ONLY IF he is the type of guy who goes out of his way to make sure u are happy. tell him you want to make plans and make it all about him. bc if he is that type of guy he will appreciate it and you will reap the rewards for the next year.
