I just watched the Outsiders about those neo-nazi girls and it got me to thinking can extreme racist like neo-nazi be Christians?? I mean their doctrine conflicts with the bible's message of peace and love. For example:

Ephesians 5:1, 2: Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Romans 12:3: For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

1 Tim 2:4: God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Acts 17:26, James 4:16, Proverbs 8:13, and Proverbs 16:18

The bible gives a lot of counsel on pride and thinking too much of yourself so I could go on and on and on. How is this possible or is it just another example of Isaiah 5:20-22?

They call themselves Christians. But they do not understand the concept behind Christianity, and are not Christians. Anyone who lives with hate in their heart who spews it so venomously, can not also be Christians.

Love, peace and understanding. That is what we need more of.

Did you see the 10pm special tonight on ABC? It was about the two little "Nazi Twins". How sad that a parent could subject her children to that type of propaganda.

The short answer to your question is a resounding NO.

If you believe that Christianity is the message of peace, love, and acceptance, then using the Bible to legitimize hate and prejudice is not Christian.

But here's the thing, people take from the Bible what they want. Whenever someone literally applies the Bible to life as justification for their preferences, they are living hypocrisy as well. Whenever someone grants certain passages more credence than others, they are making moral judgments about the Bible itself.

So, I must ask you, if you do not believe the Bible advocates racism, bigotry and judging some more worthy than others, where do you stand on gay/lesbian marriage? People take from the Bible what they want. Love thy neighbor... (2nd commandment). Homosexuality is abomination... (Leviticus). This issue really is no different than the one you raised - a fear inspired denigration of those who are different.

I believe that the underlying principles of Christianity are peace, love, and acceptance of the beauty in all of God's creatures. I don't believe any form of prejudice or inequality is in line with that message.

Isaiah 5:20-22
20 Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter.

21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
and clever in their own sight.

22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine
and champions at mixing drinks,

I look at I Corinthians 13 and see the Love chapter and see how Christ died for the world in John 3:16 and realize that God loves everyone, even the racist people in this world. I don't see how a Christian can be an extreme racist either, because they do not have the love of God in their heart.

When you look at James chapter 4, as you cited, it talks about faith without works and how love is the basis for our faith. So, I don't see how a person can accept the love of God and not love another person.

Yes, there are such people who are extreme racists AND Christian. Just go to those KKK websites and read. They actually claim to be WHITE Christians (yes they emphasize one the white part) and that God had created humans to NOT mix and cause 'corruption' in the human race.

They want segregation of all coloured people (blacks in black schools, white in white schools, no immigrants, etc.) and extremely strict and prejudiced immigration laws.
They advise white couples to adopt white kids and not marry "outside the race" and they think that public schooling, because of the racial mixing, is filth, hence they encourage home-schooling.
They encourage women to stay home and be full-time mothers and caretakers of the house and men to be sole breadwinners.

They are ultra racist and the disclaimer on their site typically includes things like:
"If you are not of the White race, this web site is not for the likes of YOU!"

"The IKA hates: Muds, spics, kikes and n|ggers. This is our God given right!"

"....Alien Jew Owners from the international jewish banking cartel who run satan's world and system."

" It was a felony crime for a black to marry a white in 28 states, and that was all the way up to the year 1968 when new civil rights bills took it down."

They call other races that are not white as "filth".

It's so disgusting to see such narrow-minded people in the world. Absolutely disgusting. The amusing thing is, much of the stuff you see posted on the site only helps you reach the ultimate conclusion: These guys can't spell.

Yes, Some Christians are extreme racists. For Example: The KKK. They justified their hatred for minorities by using the Darwinism Theory and Some scriptures in the Old Testament on slavery against Afro-Americans and Jews and other minorities. Isaiah 5:20-22 is a great example. I go to a predominately white church and some whites refuse to shake my hand or either to speak. It's sad that Racism still exists and Some racist called themselves believers and don't love their fellowman because of the color of their skin. I pray for the members of my church daily and I will continue to pray for equality in this country.

No, extreme racists cannot rightly call themselves true Christians. It even says so in the Bible:

Romans 12:10 - Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 - Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.

1 John 4:11, 12 - Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:20, 21 - If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

And there are plenty more scriptures that speak of the same thing (love your brother). So since people like them are obviously very big on hate, something completely opposite to "following in the footsteps of Jesus," they couldn't possibly be true Christians.

Remember, Satan knows the Bible too.

You know what? What does God say about mockers?
A Antichrist person will what? Never acknowledge Jesus Christ as God.

Don't underestimate "pride" in a Christian my friend. God, didn't say walk around with your heads hung low and in shame either. In fact, he told you to hold your head HIGH and take up your sword and STAND for Christ. I believe the "pride" you are in reference too is, being so proud YOU think you did it on your own.

A Biblical Christian will KNOW another Christian. OK? If you see something fishy.......it may be a FISH.

If it smells good, taste it. If it tastes bad, spit it out.

Those who are racist may call themselves Christian -- but they do so out of ignorance. To be Christian, is to be Christ-like. Christ was Jewish....so, based on that fact alone, those who are racist would not be able to truly support the true christian faith. Unless they twisted it to make it fit. IGNORANCE is not bliss -- supremacists and racist people are a shame to the white community. Remember: For God so Loved The WORLD. Not just ignorant white people who strive to think they are actually better than anyone else.

I am a German who is white and proud of the fact God blessed us with a world of diversity. And as a white German I can say, on behalf of the majority of those of German desent, Hitler didn't kill himself soon enough.

This question really asks how big is the grace of God. Certainly, racism is a sin. I would tend to think that those living in a sin would not be counted as God's children. However, that call is ulitmately the Father's.

Well, anyone can be a racist and CALL themselves a Christian. Just like anyone can be a meat-eater and call themselves a vegetarian. Of course, to actually be a racist and a Christian is another matter. You're correct in stating that the Bible doesn't condone racism, so a true Christian would not be a racist.
