depends..it made from lots of material..for instant in my country, malaysia..some are from bamboo..some made from milamin..some from plastic..some from crystal..some from glass..and etc..
and fyi..using chopstick is really goodd since its creating good cells at ur brain that makes u became wiser..

Most commonly used are bamboo or palo-china wood. Lately its plastic. In rich households, its laminated teak wood or ivory - those are the dark ones with inlays and designs at the top.

In Korea, traditional ones are made out of stainless steel.
In Japan, traditional ones are made out of wood painted with lacquer.
Disposable ones are made with either wood or bamboo.
