The "sell by" date is the deadline for retailers. Dairy and bread are good for up to seven days past the listed date. Fish you should eat as soon as possible. Chicken 2-3 days and beef 3-4 days. Always look at the quality, brown on meat is not good, fish that is dull is a bad sign, pour a bit of milk out to see and smell quality, bread smell. You get the idea.

Generally food is good for about a week past a "sell by" date. The bread should be fine. I would get more leary when it comes to thinks like dairy products and meats. Just take a smell, feel it, and if it doesn't look right don't eat it!!

Yes. Even if it is organic food. Up to 5 days for foods without preservatives. Just smell it. If it normally doesn't smell and does...toss it. If it does normally smell, you should be able to tell if it has turned. Veggies will wilt a bit but should be fine for the most part. Dairy should be watched. Grains last a while when dry and cool. Fish shouldn't smell like anything and other meats should be vibrant in color. :)

You can eat bread past its sell buy date. You only avoid it if its moldy. But anything else, be careful, you don't want toend up wiuth a case of food poisoning.

as long as there is no mold present its safe to eat bread or meats. the date is not an experation date its a best if used by date. which simply means the product may not retain all of its flavor or nutritional value beyond that point.

as my dear mother would say, "smell it" no harm with bread as long as you don't see mold, same with cheese. Things like meats, milk, and other liquids will give off an odd odor, pungent. Processed foods (they will kill you anyways) will simply be stale.
