If you were to read the book of Job and here all the things he said to God and God said he was perfect as a man can be.
I guess the Apostle Peter will not be their either, seeing as how he cursed and said he never knew Jesus, now mind you he walked with Jesus.
I know his own people the Jews had Jesus put on the cross as well as spitting on Him, but they are still His first choice and the Gentiles were second but all were created equal.
I know David had a womens husband killed so he could have his wife but David was quick to repent and God said David was a man after His own heart.
I know of many people while reading the Bible would have gross things come into their mind but as in your case you went a little further and then sin is sin, if you have broken one of the Commandments, you have broken them all. I don't think you will have anyone to throw the first stone, as Jesus asked the crowd of Jews which had caught a women in adultery, if there is anyone here that is without sin then let him cast the first stone. No one came forward and Jesus ased the women where are your accusers and she said there are none, then Jesus said neither do I, GO AND SIN NO MORE.
There has been a lot of people that have done a lot worse than spitting on the Bible and God knows the wilds of the devil and forgives those who ask for forgivness from the heart. Believe me I have done a lot worse than spitting on the Bible but I know I was forgiven and going to Heaven. Stop beating yourself up, rebuke the devil, ask forgivness and give your testimony to others.

It depends. If you did it by accident, it doesn't matter. It is enough to be careful not to repeat it.
But if your act of spitting was intentional, then, I am sure God must be grieved over it. The word "bible" is derived from the Greek word "biblion" meaning "book." So there is nothing magical about its name. However, it is not just like any other science or maths book. It is a "book" that records God's spoken word. So it deserves all the respect. Spitting intentionally means insulting that recording of God's revelation and that is equal to insulting God himself. In this case, God forgives one who truly repents by acknowledging the act as sin. Though this may sound preachy to you, that is the truth.
I understand "Hell" more as "a state of separation from God" than as a place. This has much larger implications for a person's life. One actually chooses it by willfully rejecting God who is loving, good, all perfect and all powerful. God is not a sadist who takes pleasure in the suffering of humans. He is a Redeemer who has provided in and through Jesus Christ a way out of sin. We get back to God and enjoy our relationship with Him if we accept and appropriate that manifestation of grace. Rejection of that provision means separation. And that is hell.
Hope this answer helps. Comments are welcome.

there is no one in hell that didn't choose to be there. People choose hell rather than heaven by rejecting it. Was the spitting an expression of this kind of rejection? Do you still reject the idea of heaven? and following God's lead to get there? Then you may , indeed, be headed in the opposite direction from heaven, which is...... hell. but you can still change your mind, and your direction.

I think people spit on the Bible (figuratively) whenever they do something wrong. Everyone comes up short on being perfect (we all sin). Thankfully, the Bible says we have a God who is willing to forgive anyone who comes to Him thru faith in Jesus:
Hebrews 7:25 "Therefore he (Jesus) is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."

If you are a believer, ask God for forgiveness and repent your deeds and you will be forgiven, for God's promise is when we confess our sins, and repent, He forgives us and cleanses us with the blood of Jesus Christ.
If you are not a believer, pray to God and accept Jesus Christ into your life so that you are dead to the world and alive in Him. He will cleanse you of all your inequities and make you a new person.
Hell IS real, and it really is so easy to go in there. For those who do not believe, it is time for you to open your eyes.
I pray for God to unveil that cloud blinding your eyes. Seek God's Word, for His Word is the Truth and the Truth will set you free.

I sneezed on the Bible a few times, but I have allergies. I try not to be overtly offensive to different religions because I want others to respect me too!

Only GOD can say that. May be u had a reason for doin' that. And God is not like us. HE understands everything. HE doesn't judge like the way we do. I'm a muslim. I don't know much about christianity but I think whatever I said it wouldn't be much different. HE is the one who is almighty and forgives us or punish us. May GOD be with us all!!!!!
