hell I think if you are old enough to go and die for your country you should be able to buy a beer or whatever you want to drink.

If you are under 21, its the law, unless you serve oconus where the drinking age is 18. Second, if you are stuck in iraq, like me, you have to obey the laws of the locals, which means no alcohol, which sucks because they don't respect our customs, so i feel we should be able to have a beer now and again, but hey, who am i? Just another soldier waiting for my year to go by so i can have a damn beer.

Because, youngsters like you are the first ones to ruin it for everyone else whenever someone does get the balls to loosen the regs a little, and light the "beer lamp".

Cause you have to wait till your 21 just like I had to.....If you were stationed at a post close to the border you could prob be able to grab a beer on post....

Yeah, right, that's a good idea. In fact, I think it wouldn't bother me a bit to have a drunk with a loaded M16 in the foxhole next to me.......or not.

First of thanks for your service, but don’t you think it would be out of place to make a special set of laws for those who serve the military (e.g. lower the age so soldiers can legally drinking alcohol)? We live in a democracy thanks to men and women like you who defend it. It wouldn’t be much of a democracy if we would start making special rules for a select group.
