Yes. I do believe in a God. I found out for myself that he exists. I will not tell you just because the bible or any other purported scripture tells you or I so.
I will tell you why I know so.
My Faith/ Religion/ Church teaches an approach to finding out if their is a god or not and what is true or not that is rather unorthodox(and sometimes blasphemous) to most(nearly all) god believing faiths.
We teach that God has a means where anyone, if they are sincere about it, can ask God (and, yes, this is where the element of faith or just simply believing that there is a god even though we cannot see him yet, comes in) if he really does exist. We can ask God if something is true or if it is just a flat out lie.
This means of receiving truth is what we call the power of the Holy Ghost and it only operates according to the willingness of the asker to follow through, in sincerity, to the answer they could get. If the sincerity doesn't exist; if there is no faith then there is no answer.
The answer comes in the form of a feeling of peace in the heart and a confirmation in the mind if it is true. If it is not true you will get no peace, no confirmation.
I know faith is probably the hang up for you but this is the only way to find out for sure otherwise you and I are just spinning our wheels.
I know God was just as we are and we can become as he is. We don't see him yet because he wants to see if we will obey him and trust in him.
I will rehash what I believe faith is in my own words then I will get off my soapbox.
Faith is a hope that something(be it God or any other unseen thing) exists, that you have been told exists, you cannot see, yet it still exists whether you believe or not.
Scientists do it all the time it's called theorizing, sometimes their faith is vain, sometimes its realized through discovery.
Give what I told you a try, you might be suprised.
thank you for the question.

Yes I do.
I don't believe that God is in a human form though. I don't believe that the Bible is accurate or true. And I have a real problem with the story of Jesus being "God". I believe a man named Jesus lived but was not God in any form.
I believe in a Creator or God if you wish because this "orderly" life did not just happen along by accident. This order started out with a purpose and that's why the earth works the way it does, that's why the making of a human being is so darn wonderful and amazing, that's why my bird and my dog have personalities, etc. Do you see what I mean? Everything on earth works together, the weather, the day, the night, the way things just happen to be here to heal us, to feed us, to make us happy. Sorry I just get caught up with the "wonders" of the way things work sometimes.
Hope I answered your question for you.

Ok i cant use the bible well i use history. Yes Jesus was in the bible but history also say that he was here on earth. Jesus is the most talked about man in history. And He was God in the flesh. Let me ask u a question if God isnt real explain to me everything that happens in the world all these people being healed and all these people that believe in him. U ask this question because u r lost but God is real if u would only open ur heart and see His truth. May u find Him He loves u.

Yes, but I'm probably only at about 60% yes. I was raised a Christian, fell in love with God and all those things. I was a religion major in college and earned 2 masters degrees in Biblical Studies and Theology - which consequently makes things a bit more difficult. The faith of my childhood and adolescence is dead. Problems with the biblical text, doctrine, and classical theology aside, it is difficult to believe in a God with all the evil and suffering in the world. I've been drawn more toward process theology of late, an idea that suggests God isn't all powerful, all knowing, etc., but is becoming and evolving with the rest of the universe, which seems more intellectually palatable. Sorry for the long answer, but I could go on for pages. Thanks for the question!

I only trace the lines that flow from God--Albert Einstein.

Morality may keep u out of jail,But it takes the blood of Jesus Christ to keep u out of hell--spurgeon
Those are SOME of the reasons why!!

YES.
It looks long, but I am only giving you my reasons, not a theology lesson nor trying to convert you.
I believe in God because I don't believe that all complicated living things that exist came from spontaneous taking chances and evolve by themselves without any guidance (you just have to follow closely a woman's pregnancy to reaaaaally appreciate this!). Have you ever tried to get something complicated well done just by chances?
Because I believe that deep feelings like love, happiness, hate, anger (yes, good and bad ones too!) come from something deeper than just hormones (anyway, where the hormones came from?!).
I can't say that because some people have very bad times, lives, starvation, poverty, abuse, suffering, God doesn't love them or there is not God. I think all of those things happen and exist for a reason: learn from our mistakes, get stronger, and "evolve" in our capacity to help, to be compassionate, to give, and why not, to appreciate the good things we have. Only something superior could teach in that way.
One more reason, that could sound very banal: there is not proof that God does not exist!
But I am not going to tell you that I believe in a huge guy with a long bear wearing a tunic, who is watching us from the sky to check out who is good, and who is bad is sent to the other guy with horns and tale. I do believe that God is something else, a sort of energy if I can say so. Something inside of everyone, and on every thing. Yes, God is Love, but not only Love, God is more than that. You can see God on the body of a beautiful woman, but also on the face of the beggar at the corner. God is everything!
That is the God I believe in, the One on and in everything, the One that does not need a religion to be Pleased, to give or to forgive (religions are man's inventions).
And even for atheists, that negation of God is their way to try to find him!

yes. i don't think any form of scientific occurence could create such a beautiful world with such beautiful people. because he continually answers prayers that i don't deserve. i don't c how there could be so many "coincidences" in life, i think there has 2 b a wonderfully complex plan. and a lot more reasons.

Yes. I was raised in a christian home....Then my life got extremly complicated. I fell out of touch with God. I turned away from my faith for a few years, but during that time I felt very alone and depressed. I thought that a loving God would never do that to someone he loves. I went to a Newsboys concert one summer with my boyfriend in our church group. The lead singer spoke about hope and such things and it made me think.I started to read my bible...finall one night things clicked. The void I felt was filled and I fell so much better about everything now.I feel that God was calling me back.

I believe in a higher conscousness that qualifies as god but I think humans don't have the slightest clue as to the purpose or nature of it or why anything is. For all we know we could be an extremely small part with little importance, not the "principal reason" for creation residing on some cosmic center stage.

Yes. Through application of logic in my life i have found that nothing explains the emergent properties of the world except intelligent design. That and when i decided to give god a "try" IT (i will go beyond the gender bias) flared all of my sense at once to produce something i cannot explain in any form of communication. Now i can literally sense It's presence through my life. Whether emotional, physical, or mental. It is there, in one two or all three of those ways.
I love Jesus Christ. And this explanation is only the tip of the proverbial "iceberg".
